Take a look at the photos in PICS & MORE. Also, Emily drew a picture of one of her favorite acts. You can check that out on her refrigerator door. Go to WHAT'S ON THE FRIDGE?
Emily returned home from Grandma I's house on Saturday, or rather most of her did. It seems she lost yet another tooth, this one her second upper front. The tooth disappeared, but the Tooth Fairy showed up anyway.
Emily agreed to spend her first night away from home without mommy or daddy this past Friday when she and Luke stayed at G/G I's house. They baked cupcakes, went for a walk and played games. Emily had a lot of fun. READ EMILY'S COMMENTS ON HER BLOG.
Today was Emily's first day in the before & after school program sponsored by the YMCA. One great thing about this program is that it is held at Emily's school which makes it super convenient. Emily was a little shy when I dropped her off this morning. She has some friends in the program but they weren't there yet when I was leaving so Emily was clinging and not wanting me to leave. The chaperone was very nice and Emily seemed to like her. When I finally left, Emily and the chaperone were going to color together. CHECK OUT EMILY'S COMMENTS ON HER BLOG.
I'm calling today "Day 1" even though Danielle actually left for Arizona on Saturday. That's because today was the first day with real changes as Emily started her before & after school program and grandma is spending the day with Luke.
It was a difficult morning for Emily. When she woke-up grandma was already there and Emily wasn't quite sure what was going on. She knew grandma was going to be watching Luke today, but clearly she hadn't thought a lot about it. I should have spent a little more time explaining exactly what was going to happen this morning so she would feel a little more comfortable about it. She got through it, although with the feet dragging and delaying we ended up about 20 minutes behind schedule. Luke wasn't having any problems. He enjoyed pancakes for breakfast (still had some batter left over from Saturday) and seemed to have a good time with grandma feeding him. When it was time for me to leave, he gave me a kiss, a smile, a wave and said, "Bye bye." |
